Effect of Dalcetrapib on CV Risk in a Genetically Defined Population With a Recent ACS

Acute Coronary Syndrome

This is a placebo-controlled, randomized, double-blind, parallel group, phase 3 multicenter study in subjects recently hospitalized for ACS and with the appropriate genetic profile. Subjects will provide informed consent before any study-specific procedures are performed. A separate informed consent will be allowed for an initial pre-screening genetic testing. Subjects meeting the AA genotype will then consent to the full study and confirmatory genetic testing as required. Subject enrollment may begin in the hospital and will continue following release from the hospital or may begin following release from hospital. Screening procedures may be performed at the time of the index ACS event or anytime thereafter, with the condition that randomization must occur within the mandated window (up to12 weeks after the index event). Subjects will be assessed based on their medical history. Those who are likely to qualify will undergo Genotype Assay testing to evaluate genetic determination for the presence of AA genotype.

Cognitive Recovery Via Sensor-based Robotic Upper Limb Rehabilitation in Neurological Disorders

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if sensor-based robotic upper limb rehabilitation can improve cognitive and motor functions in adults with neurological and neurodegenerative disorders, including Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and stroke. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does sensor-based robotic rehabilitation improve cognitive functions such as attention, memory, and executive functions? Does this rehabilitation lead to better motor recovery and daily functioning compared to conventional therapy? Researchers will compare the experimental group receiving robotic rehabilitation with cognitive tasks to the control group receiving conventional therapy to see if the robotic approach leads to greater improvements in both cognitive and motor outcomes. Participants will: Receive upper limb rehabilitation using robotic devices and virtual reality-based exercises or conventional therapy Complete a series of neuropsychological assessments before and after the intervention to measure cognitive changes Complete motor function tests before and after the intervention to evaluate physical improvements Participate in 25 training sessions, 2-3 times per week, each lasting 60 minutes

The primary purpose of this Registry is to assess procedural safety and long-term effectiveness of catheter ablations in the treatment of subjects with PAF, PsAF, and VA. The Registry will utilize real world clinical data obtained from the use of commercially available CARTOβ„’ technologies under the authority of a health care practitioner within a legitimate practitioner-subject relationship. Data from the registry will be used to assess clinical outcomes, including procedural efficiency, safety, and long-term effectiveness of catheter ablation with novel technologies for arrhythmia patients.

Immunoinflammatory Response in Post Cardiac Arrest Syndrome (PCAS)

This is a prospective, observational study to investigate molecular mechanisms mediating the systemic inflammatory process, and changes to metabolism, and their impact on brain injury, survival, and functional outcomes after cardiac arrest. Investigators have shown that cardiac arrest induces changes in the numbers and properties of circulating immune cells, shifting the balance towards a pro-inflammatory phenotype and there is increased interest in the inflammatory pathways and the signaling mechanisms through which they are modulated. Participants will undergo blood sampling during 7 days following cardiac arrest, and analyses performed. Patient characteristics, clinical circumstances, and outcomes will be recorded and their associations with these inflammatory pathways characterized.

Surabgene Lomparvovec Administered in the Suprachoroidal Space in Adult Participants With Diabetic Retinopathy Without Center-Involved Diabetic Macular Edema

Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetic Retinopathy (DR) is a common eye condition caused by diabetes, where high blood sugar levels damage the blood vessels in the back part of the eye (called the retina). Over time, this damage can lead to vision problems and even blindness if not treated. This study will assess surabgene lomparvovec (sura-vec) as a potential one-time gene therapy administered in the suprachoroidal space (SCS) for the treatment of diabetic retinopathy (DR) and prevention of vision-threatening events (VTEs) in participants with non-proliferative DR (NPDR) without center-involved diabetic macular edema (CI-DME). This study will consist of 3 portions: a Phase 2b portion, a Phase 3 portion, and a bilateral treatment portion. Approximately 576 adult participants will be enrolled in the study across multiple sites in the United States and Puerto Rico. In the Phase 2b and Phase 3 portions, participants will be randomized to different groups to receive sura-vec and prophylactic steroids or sham and artificial tears in their study eye. If assigned to sham, participants will be given an opportunity to cross over and receive treatment with sura-vec. In the bilateral treatment portion, participants will be enrolled to receive sura-vec and prophylactic steroids in both eyes. In all 3 portions, follow-up in the study will continue through 5 years following administration of sura-vec in each eye. There may be higher treatment burden for participants in this trial compared to their standard of care. Participants will attend regular visits during the study at a clinic. The effect of the treatment will be checked by medical assessments, blood tests, checking for side effects and completing questionnaires.

PREVENTABLE is a multi-center, randomized, parallel group, placebo-controlled superiority study. Participants will be randomized 1:1 to atorvastatin 40 mg or placebo. This large study conducted in community-dwelling older adults without cardiovascular disease (CVD) or dementia will demonstrate the benefit of statins for reducing the primary composite of death, dementia, and persistent disability and secondary composites including mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and cardiovascular events.

Nectero EAST System Clinical Study

Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm

The purpose of this randomized clinical trial is to treat patients with small to mid-sized abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA), maximum diameter of 3.5 cm to 5.0 cm, using a locally delivered, single-dose endovascular treatment. The main question the study aims to answer is to demonstrate efficacy of the product for stabilization of these small to mid-sized AAA.The study will compare the treatment group to the typical standard of care for these patients, surveillance. All subjects will be followed at designated intervals at 30/60 days, 6, 12, 18 and 24 months with continued follow-up annually for up to 5 years.
