Moderate to Severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the effects and safety of the study medicine PF-07275315 for the potential treatment of COPD. COPD is a condition that makes it difficult to breathe, which negatively impacts the quality of life and functioning of people who are affected. This study is seeking participants who: * Are 35 to 80 years old * Have had moderate-to-severe COPD for at least 12 months * Have a documented history of at least 2 moderate or severe exacerbations within the last 12 months * Have been continuously taking their regular maintenance treatment(s) for COPD over at least 6 months at a stable dose for 3 months All participants will receive PF-07275315 or a placebo. A placebo does not have any medicine in it but looks just like the medicine being studied. PF-07275315 or placebo will be given as multiple shots in the clinic over the course of 24 weeks for the Phase 2 part and 52 weeks for the Phase 3 part. We will compare the results of people receiving PF-07275315 to those of the people who do not. This will help us determine if PF-07275315 is safe and effective. Participants who will be involved in the Phase 2 part of the study for about 40 weeks. During this time, they will have 11 visits at the study clinic. Participants who will be involved in the Phase 3 part of the study for about 68 weeks. During this time, they will have 18 visits at the study clinic.
Moderate to Severe Asthma
In this study, a new method will be used to evaluate response to 2 approved biologic therapies, and assess how well each patient responds to each asthma treatment. This study will measure the response to these treatments using genomic and biologic measurements obtained from participants biosamples. By evaluating response to 2 different biologic therapies, this study has the potential to provide an in-depth understanding of the mechanisms underlying severe asthma that will inform and change treatment decisions, and may ultimately lead to a change in the way that asthma patients are evaluated for potential personalized therapies and maximize the probability that the subject will respond to treatment.
COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), one of the leading causes of death in the US, disproportionately affects low socioeconomic communities. While few interventions effectively modify the course of COPD and improve outcomes, pulmonary rehabilitation is the one notable exception. However, implementation of this resource-intensive program in real-life settings, and in particular, for underserved communities, has proven to be challenging. Safety-net centers that serve primarily under-insured populations lack financial resources to provide pulmonary rehabilitation. The 10-week COPD Wellness and Plus+ Program directly addresses this gap, and yet, programs like these do not automatically lead to improved outcomes, which leads to the implementation of a Health Advocates program to address participant's social needs and barriers to healthcare.
Asthma
The purpose of this study is to examine the mechanisms of asthma. The investigators are comparing the cells of individuals with and without asthma and looking at the roles various parts of the cell play in the production and secretion of mucus.
Emphysema or COPD ยท Emphysema ยท COPD
A study taking place at multiple sites in the United States, Europe and Brazil to evaluate how well a new therapy for severe COPD/emphysema works, and how safe it is.
Alpha 1-Antitrypsin Deficiency ยท Emphysema or COPD
Alpha-1 Anti-trypsin Deficiency (AATD) is a genetic disease with lung and liver disease presentations. Presentations are variable in the heterozygous population, the most predominant genotype being PiMZ. The purpose of this study in PiMZ heterozygous patients is to examine the density of the lung as measured by chest computed tomography (CT) and determine if existing emphysema predicts changes in the rate of subsequent emphysema or changes in CT, serum or plasma biomarkers of interest. The overarching goal is to develop biomarkers pertinent to the PiMZ patient that can be used in interventional trials since lung function changes do not typically inform disease progression in AATD.
Eosinophilic Asthma
This Phase 2b study is designed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of KT-621 in participants with uncontrolled moderate to severe eosinophilic asthma. The main goals of this study are to investigate how effective KT-621 is at treating uncontrolled moderate to severe eosinophilic asthma, the safety and tolerability of KT-621, and how KT-621 behaves in the body.
Asthma
The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of 2 different GP metered dose inhaler (MDI) doses relative to placebo MDI as add-on treatment to BFF MDI on lung function in participants 4 to less than 12 years of age with asthma.
Safety in Asthma Patients
This is a phase 1 study, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 2 treatment, 2 period crossover study to evaluate the pharmacokinetics, safety, and tolerability of a single inhaled dose of ASY202 in adults with stable asthma. Following screening, eligible participants will be enrolled and randomized to one of two treatment sequences. Participants will receive a single inhaled dose of ASY202 and a single inhaled dose of placebo, each administered once during separate study periods. During each treatment period, subjects will stay in the clinical research unit for safety monitoring and PK assessments, including serial blood sampling, spirometry, vital signs, clinical laboratory tests, and ECGs. Each period will include post dose assessments for up to 24 hours. Participants will return for their next treatment period after a washout interval to ensure complete clearance of study medication. All subjects will receive both treatments over the course of the study. A follow-up visit will occur after the last dose to assess ongoing safety and tolerability.
Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Obstructive
Depemokimab is being developed as a treatment for individuals with moderate to severe Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disorder (COPD). The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of early initiation of depemokimab as an add-on medicine in participants with moderate to severe COPD with type 2 inflammation.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease
The purpose of this study is to assess the long-term safety and to explore the efficacy of astegolimab in participants with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) who have completed the 52-week placebo-controlled treatment period in parent studies GB43311 or GB44332.
Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) ยท Allergies
This research is being done to test if a drug called omalizumab can help people with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and allergies. Each participant will be in the study for about 16 months, including 1-3 months of screening, 12 months of receiving the study drug at a clinic, and a follow-up call one month after your final clinic visit.
Asthma
The purpose of this clinical trial is to learn about the safety and effects of the study medicine (called PF-07275315) for the potential treatment of moderate-to-severe asthma. Asthma is a condition that makes it challenging to breathe, which negatively impacts the quality of life and functioning of people who are affected. This study is seeking participants who: * Are 18 to 70 years old * Have had moderate-to-severe asthma for at least 12 months that is not well controlled * Have been taking their regular maintenance treatment(s) for asthma over the last 12 months All participants will receive PF-07275315 or a placebo. A placebo does not have any medicine in it but looks just like the medicine being studied. PF-07275315 or placebo will be given as multiple shots in the clinic over the course of 12 weeks. We will compare the experiences of people receiving PF-07275315 to those of the people who do not. This will help us determine if PF-07275315 is safe and effective. Participants will be involved in this study for about 7.5 months. During this time, they will have 9 visits at the study clinic.
